The Part-Dieu station confirms its food and lifestyle transformation with the arrival of the city’s very first porridge bar. On December 18, Donnant Café and Porridges sets its steaming bowls right in the heart of the station, a spot bustling daily with nearly 140,000 travelers. Already well-known at Gare du Nord in Paris, this 100% vegetarian brand focuses on a simple and effective concept: delicious coffee and freshly made porridge.

Porridge, the healthy star of train stations

Here, porridge isn't sad—it’s indulgent, nourishing, and ultra-contemporary. Made from French, organic, whole oat flakes that are ground and cooked on-site, it’s perfect for breakfast, a lunch break, or a smart snack. Fresh fruits, dried fruits, seeds, cereals… each bowl is customizable and finished with a pinch of salt to awaken the taste buds. It’s a healthy alternative to a hurried croissant, ideal for busy people on the go!

for travelers in transit.

Mère Brazier is also joining Part-Dieu

Cherry on top: a monument of Lyon's gastronomy is also joining the adventure, as explained by Actu Lyon. La Mère Brazier, a double Michelin-starred institution in the 1st arrondissement, is also opening a grocery-counter inside the station. After the 6th, the 9th, and the Paul Bocuse Halles, this iconic establishment continues to grow with a selection designed for everyday life.

Sandwiches, quiches, salads, and Lyon’s classic dishes will be on the menu. Pâté en croûte, brioche sausage, and other local specialties will bridge the gap between fast food and traditional cuisine. At Part-Dieu, you’ll now have the delightful dilemma of choosing between a veggie porridge bowl and a 100% Lyon snack. And honestly, that’s pretty great news for our taste buds!
