A new chapter begins on Mercière street in Lyon! After 26 years of existence, the famous Eden Rock Café has officially closed its doors at the end of December 2023. According to initial information gathered, the stylish brewery group Nouvelle Garde should take over this strategic location.

It is an institution in Lyon and in the bustling Mercière street that bid farewell. After 26 years of good and loyal service, L'Eden Rock Café closed its doors on December 23rd after a final farewell evening. A gathering place for many Lyonnais in the heart of the Presqu'île, this bar-restaurant offered a tex-mex menu in a friendly atmosphere with pop/rock concerts on weekends.

A chic brewery in its place?

Paradise for sports events lovers, in the pure style of English pubs, L'Eden Rock Café was one of those spots that we didn't often stop at but was an integral part of the Lyon landscape. The address pulled the curtain after a double event on December 22 and 23, 2023, during which nostalgic visitors had the opportunity to acquire a piece of decoration or furniture. According to the first information we gathered, the group Nouvelle Garde, who is behind prestigious breweries in Paris and Lille, is set to replace this iconic place on 68 rue Mercière.
