In Lyon, Couture Club Lyon is gearing up to revolutionize sewing with a concept that's as cool as it is accessible. Starting May 5, this new hybrid spot, which breaks the mold of traditional workshops, will open its doors at 2 rue Coysevox in the 1st arrondissement. Here, there’s no pressure or incomprehensible technical jargon: you come as you are, settle in, and create. The space combines a friendly café, a sewing workshop, and a sharing area, all in an atmosphere designed to make you want to stay… and come back for more!

The mantra of the place is clear: learn by doing, and most importantly, have fun! It’s a spot designed for everyone, whether you're a complete beginner or already comfortable with a machine. The Couture Club embraces a relaxed approach. The machines are freely accessible, tips are flying around, and everyone moves at their own pace. The goal? To leave with a current piece sewn with your own hands. Yes, literally wearing your creation out, which is definitely cooler than just following a YouTube tutorial.

Behind this project is a strong will, that of Emma: to transform sewing into a life moment. Inspired by a background in event planning and a late-discovered passion, the concept focuses on the overall experience. People come not just to create, but also to enjoy a coffee, chat, meet new folks, and take a little break from life.

To celebrate the opening, a clothing swap is being organized this Sunday, April 26th, from 11 AM to 7 PM to introduce the place to the people of Lyon. It’s the perfect opportunity to browse, exchange, and dive into the world of Couture Club even before you pick up a needle. An event that promises excitement!color: here, fashion comes to life, is created, and shared. A new place to live that settles in, halfway between a café, a creative studio, and a community space. And clearly, it makes you want to swap your basic sweatshirt for a handmade piece.
