A PMU with a 1930s Bistro Vibe
Wooden tables and chairs, elegant decor, iconic furniture… Far from the typical PMU image, "Le Cheval des 3" embraces a chic and friendly atmosphere. "We wanted to recreate the French bistro service as we imagined it in the 1930s," explains Olivier Vidal, the regional director of PMU in comments collected by BFM Lyon. A bold bet that seems to already be paying off.

Attracting New Players Without Losing the Spirit of Horse Racing
The idea behind this innovative concept is simple: to attract customers who might not be familiar with horse racing bets and introduce them to this world in a more appealing setting. "Once they come here, we will make them aware of the races, and how to place bets," explains Olivier Vidal. To ensure a true expertise, Jean-Jacques Ruiz, a former director of a Lyon stable, is there to guide the curious and support the regulars.

A winning bet for Croix-Rousse
Since it opened last summer, the bar has been a hit. "The place is beautiful, with stunning architecture, it's nice, and it's less gloomy," shares Hocine, a customer. For Geneviève, "this PMU has a cosmopolitan vibe with a variety of profiles." Sébastien agrees: "It’s a mix of generations, from 20 to 80 years old. It’s typically Croix-Roussien, it's the magic of chic PMU!"
With this success, the PMU aims to open five similar establishments in the Lyon region. A little revolution is underway for the punters' bars!
