During the summer of 2023, the City of Lyon showcased the rehabilitation project for the old Circ tower (Lyon 8th) led by Redman and Iacade Promotion. Goodbye to the closed-off and austere vibe, the tower is set to transform into an open space for the city, green and committed to environmental and social justice. It will be a genuine place for solidarity and environmental living that tantalizes the senses, with work starting in 2025 and wrapping up in 2028.

A rooftop restaurant in Lyon 8th
On the menu, you'll find a medical house, offices, housing, and even a community restaurant on the ground floor. But the biggest surprises await us on the roof: a vegetable garden, hanging gardens, and an extraordinary rooftop managed by a well-known chef in Lyon: Christian Têtedoie! Holder of a Michelin star at his namesake restaurant on the Fourvière hill, this Lyonnais chef was presented with this exciting challenge. Though he had sworn to focus on his current establishments, he eventually couldn’t resist the temptation.

A New Taste Experience
But Christian Têtedoie doesn’t aim to open another fancy, gourmet restaurant. Without giving too much away, he shared some details about the project with our friends at Tribune de Lyon: "This will be something different from bistronomy or gastronomy. People don’t yet have a reference for what’s going to be created tomorrow. What I envision is something else. It focuses on showcasing the product in a new way, the vibe of the place, and especially on the cooking methods, because we'll be using totally neutral footprints." So, we’re promised a unique culinary experience, where the product will shine like never before with new cooking techniques. A committed cuisine for a better world—how cool is that?
