Tradition and Creativity in the Name of Flavor

Young enthusiasts, confirmed passionate bakers, seasoned professionals, and apprentices will compete around two signature creations: the traditional flan and the creative flan. Texture, baking, aroma, balance, emotion…lip; everything will be scrutinized. Here, there's no room for approximation: a failed flan, and it’s back to the drawing board.

And to differentiate the candidates, the competition will rely on a prestigious jury led by well-known figures from the culinary scene such as Benoît Charvet (President of the jury), Mercotte, Noémie, Ju Chamalo, and La Blandineries. For this edition, the competition is also fortunate to have the support of a notable godmother in the person of Valérie Trierweiler. Demanding standards, kindness, and the spirit of sharing will be at the heart of the deliberations.

Masterclass and Great Flan Festival

Before the competition, it's all about sharing and inspiration. On April 16 and 17, the public is invited to level up their skills with exclusive masterclasses organized in the square. Cooking techniques, texture secrets, pro tips… these meetings tTransforming Bellecour into a true open-air gourmet campus.

On Saturday, April 18th starting at 7 PM, Bellecour Square will come alive during the Great Flan Festival. Hundreds of slices will be offered to the public in support of the Léon Bérard Center. Each bite will become an act of support, each flan a message of hope for sick children and their families. An event to savor… without moderation!
