A real biergarten next to Lyon
If Lyon is full of beer bars with large terraces, the German biergarten concept is slowly making its way to us! These outdoor beer bars are a hit with our neighbors, sometimes making us jealous that we don't see more of them popping up in Lyon and its surroundings. But after hosting an embassy in the heart of the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon until 2016, the famous Paulaner brewery has just opened the doors to its own biergarten just a stone's throw from the Calicéo center in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon: Le Biergarten Lyon.
Friendly terrace and petanque court
The establishment, equipped with a lovely terrace and a petanque court, is the perfect place to gather with friends. An ideal spot to unwind after a spa session. With beer pints offered at 6€, your afternoon or evening promises to be both refreshing and affordable.
On the menu: beers and German specialties
The menu includes all the essential Bavarian specialties: flammekueche for 8.50€, pretzel for 2.50€, plate of German cold cuts for 18.50€, a delicious apple strudel, or even the famous spätzle, those small typical pasta from southern Germany, which will soon be appearing on the menu for even more gourmet pleasure. The biergarten doesn't just stop at its terrace, as it also has a large two-level indoor space, perfect for group gatherings. You almost feel like you're in Berlin!
