Opened in early 2022, the first avocado bar in Lyon, The Avocado Factory, is permanently closing its doors this Monday, June 10 after one final service on Sunday. The concept will have only lasted for two short years...

Healthy and delicious dishes, avocado everywhere, daily brunch, and original decor. Opened in early 2022 in the heart of Lyon, The Avocado Factory had everything to please. However, Lyon's very first avocado bar only lasted two years before closing its doors. Despite being at the forefront of the healthy and colorful social media trend, the address at 20 rue Palais Grillet in Lyon 2nd couldn't establish itself in the long run in the capital of the Gauls. Perhaps due to a limited concept and a lack of exposure on a sometimes overlooked street in the city center.

An address that is still at the cutting edge of trends

On the plates, you could find everything that the new generation loves: toast, banh bao, salad, Thai-style tartare, cheesecake and burger, all made from avocados from European farms that work sustainably and responsibly. And the cherry on top, a crazy brunch was also available every day from Tuesday to Sunday.

On the decoration side, The Avocado Factory hit the mark with neons, various mix of materials, and plenty of greenery in a place as Instagrammable as its plates... Add to that a lovely little terrace with 24 seats and it seemed like success was guaranteed. It was at the beginning, but then things took a turn for the worse. A new address that we mourn. Now let's wait and see what will take its place...
