In its October 2026 selection, the famous guide has recognized 5 Lyon addresses among 20 new distinguished restaurants in France. More precisely, 4 Lyon restaurants and another located in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or. No need to draw this out unnecessarily: the 5 newcomers are Le Comptoir in Lyon 5th, Flair, Saône and Frazarin (all in the 2nd arrondissement) as well as Cuisine-à-Manger in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or. Local addresses that champion carefully crafted cuisine made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. In short, the kind of cooking we love!
Michelin falls for unpretentious cuisine
What we particularly love about this distinction is the message it sends: gastronomy isn't limited to starred restaurants and three-figure bills. The Michelin Guide highlights here simple yet beautifully executed dishes (and sometimes vegetarian ones), market-fresh cuisine, little
wines and reasonable prices. In other words, a place where you can treat yourself to a truly delightful meal without necessarily waiting for a special occasion.
Just a quick clarification though: being included in the Michelin Guide doesn't mean the restaurant has earned a star. These restaurants are "simply" added to the selection of establishments recommended by inspectors, which is already quite an honor!
