Lyon and Paris, different fortunes
Besides the warmth of human interactions, other criteria were taken into account by Preply to establish this unflattering ranking: the percentage of visitors willing to return after their first stay, the general well-being of the inhabitants, and the acceptance of diversity.it. Areas where Lyon could, it seems, do better to attract tourists back into its heart.
When it comes to the most welcoming cities in the world, we find Toronto (Canada) in first place, followed by Sydney (Australia) and Edinburgh (Scotland). It is worth noting that Paris ranks 14th. Despite this ranking, Lyon does not lose its charm. The city remains a gastronomic gem, rich in exceptional historical heritage and a vibrant cultural life. And as any good Lyonnais will say: "Sometimes you have to get past the first impression to discover the true treasures of our beautiful city."
