Like every year, the magazine L'Étudiant has revealed its ranking of the best student cities in France. And while Lyon is not yet on the podium, our beloved city is regaining its glory. After dropping out of the top 10 nationally last year (11th), Lyon is making a remarkable comeback among the best student cities in France. This year, the capital of Gaul ranks in 6th position out of the 47 French cities that host more than 8,000 students. With a total score of 85/121, Lyon is tied with Angers, Besançon, and Strasbourg.

+ 5 places for Lyon!

With 9 university campuses and 180,000 students, accounting for 10% of the city's population, Lyon stands out with a score of 19/20 for attractiveness and 9/10 in terms of employment. These results lead 96% of the surveyed students to recommend the city for studying. However, Lyon falls short in terms of housing with a 2/10, air quality with a dismal 4/10, and health with only 5/10.

At the top of the ranking, Montpellier once again takes the lead with a score of 9.general rate of 99/121, followed by Rennes, Caen, Toulouse and Grenoble. We are very far from it but it must be admitted that there is improvement !
