For many Lyonnais, the metro is a bit like a second home. In fact, many don't hesitate to act as if they were playing at home. They put their feet up on the seats, play their music loudly, and so on. However (and this may surprise you), some of these practices are simply not allowed! We have identified for you 10 offenses punished by TCL agents, apart from not having a ticket, and here they are!

  1. It is forbidden to play games on the entire rail network (metro, funicular, tramway) and at bus stations.
  2. It is forbidden to travel with "new pets" such as snakes or ferrets.
  3. It is forbidden to board the metro with bulky items such as a piece of furniture, a sofa.
    • Do not leave your belongings, a bag, a chair or anything else that blocks passengers in the subway cars.
    • It is forbidden to vape in the subway cars (and also to smoke, obviously).
    • It is forbidden to signal the presence of controllers "by any means and on any medium".
    • It is forbidden to beg in the cars, subway cars and all areas of the TCL network.
    • It is forbidden to travel with an unfolded stroller during peak hours or heavy traffic.
    • It is forbidden to skate, ride a bike or scooter in the metro corridors, stations and cars.
    • It is forbidden to occupy seats reserved for certain individuals (disabled, handicapped, families, pregnant women, elderly).
    • It is forbidden to sell and consume any alcoholic beverages in the cars, subway cars, stations and all public areas.

So if you feel like pulling out a bottle of gin to drink in an unfolded stroller while vaping, think about this non-exhaustive list. Find out.All other prohibitions are over here!
