In parallel, the Tourist Office noted a 20% increase in spending compared to 2023, thanks in large part to the sales of Lyon City Cards, guided tours, and the online store. American tourists particularly made their mark with a 98% increase in spending, followed by the English (+112%) and the Belgians (+134%).
Hotel reservations up by 220%
The Lyon Tasty Food Tour, bike rentals, and even the Miniature and Cinema Museum felt the effects of this influx. More than 1,000 visitors showed up at the museum as Taylor Swift fans, coming to see the costumes from the movie "Jeux de
hunger. Tourist areas like the Presqu'île and Vieux-Lyon have particularly benefited from this economic boom, with hotel occupancy rates reaching up to 90%. In fact, on the night of June 2nd, hotels in Lyon experienced a 220% increase in attendance!Voir cette publication sur Instagram
