In addition to the Festival of Lights, Lyon will also shine brightly with another event: "Fourvière en Voix", a completely free sound and light show that will transform the facade of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière into a true luminous masterpiece. Organized as part of the "Region of Lights" festival, this show celebrates the end of the year, as well as the history and influential women who have shaped Lyon.

A tribute to femininity and the history of Lyon
The show will celebrate iconic female figures, from virgins around the world to Lyon's heroines like Saint Blandine, a martyr from the early days of Christianity, and the resistance fighters É lise Rivet and Daisy Georges-Martin. Over 2000 years of Lyon’s history will be revisited through immersive visual projections that will transform the architecture of Fourvière.

If you want to experience this enchanting moment, mark your calendars: from December 5 to 7, from 7 PM to 11 PM, for a condensed 10-minute version, perfect for those wandering through the Festival of Lights; and from December 26 to 31, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, to enjoy the complete 17-minute version and extend the holiday magic.
With spectacular light displays and immersive visual effects, the show will illuminate the iconic façade of the basilica. It's now an annual must-see event that should once again dazzle both locals and tourists, plunging them into a uniquely bright and colorful universe.
