INGREDIENTS:
- 240g of organic red beans
- 3 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 tablespoons of organic oat flakes
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cumin gouda cheese
- 2 tomatoes
- Lettuce
- Olive oil
- 60g of flour
- Mustard and ketchup
- 8 pickles for the dressing
- Salt and pepper
- Spices (optional)
STEPS:
1. In a food processor, combine drained red beans, garlic cloves, 2 peeled onions, and 3 tablespoons of water with some spices. Blend well.
2. Transfer to a bowl, add the flour and oat flakes. Mix well.
3. Heat a generous amount of oil in a large pan. Place 4 dollops of bean mixture into the pan and flatten with a spatula. Cook until browned.
ots and flatten them to form roughly shaped steaks.4. Cook for about 8 minutes over medium heat. If the steak is not well cooked, it won't hold up. Flip, then cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Slice the onion thinly and the tomatoes and pickles into slices. Cut the burger bun in half, and grill its inner sides on a hot skillet. Set aside. Wash and dry the lettuce.
6. Take the bottom of the burger bun and spread some mustard on it. Also put some ketchup and place a slice of onion on top. Place your steaks on top, then a slice of cheese, a slice of tomato, and pickle slices.
7. Finish with 2 lettuce leaves and place the top of the burger bun on top.
8. And there you have it, your vegetarian burger is ready! Enjoy it with the remaining salad.
