With the current context, curfew, and general gloom, it's more important than ever to lift our spirits however we can. And for that, there's FOOD! Except that when Sunday rolls around, we often find ourselves stuck in a rut: avocado toast, smoked salmon, soft-boiled eggs... So to shake things up, we're revealing a recipe that's as calorific as we love it, which we found at Konbini: a raclette croissant filled with melted cheese, grilled bacon, sautéed potatoes, and mushrooms. It's a delight, it's easy to make, and most of all, it's very original.
Ingredients (for 2 people):
- 2 stale croissants
- 120 grams of raclette cheese
- 4 slices of smoked bacon
- Leftover potatoes and mushrooms (optional)
- Hot sauce
Preparation:
1. Cut the croissants in half, horizontally, without completely separating them.
2. Place the raclette cheese, smoked bacon, potatoes, and mushrooms inside the croissant.
3. Close the croissant and wrap it in aluminum foil.
4. Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes.
5. Serve hot with a drizzle of hot sauce for an extra kick of flavor. Enjoy!
- In the same skillet, cook the smoked bacon while adding the leftover mushrooms and potatoes to warm up
- Open the croissant in half and fill it with raclette cheese, cooked smoked bacon, potatoes, and mushrooms
- Place the croissant in the same skillet over low heat and let the cheese melt by covering the skillet
- Serve immediately by adding the hot sauce of your choice (it's time to bring out the Tabasco that's been sitting in the fridge for ages)
Just imagine sinking your teeth into this delicious croissant filled with ooey gooey raclette cheese. Doesn't it make your mouth water? Gooey cheese and flaky pastry, what more could you ask for? Enjoying this cheesy treat is surely a moment of pure bliss! 😋🧀🥐 #foodie #cheeselover
