Attention manga enthusiasts, Asian food lovers, and Korean culture fans! At the end of 2022, the Grand Hôtel-Dieu welcomed a new hotspot with Jin Joo, a huge restaurant specializing in bubble tea and noodles, with a manga store on the upper floor.

This is a crazy concept that opened its doors in the heart of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu in Lyon! By the end of 2022, the former Lyon hospital took on a strong Korean accent with the opening of Jin Joo. And the place offers everything that fans of Asian culture dream of: a cuisine centered around noodles, ramen, and bubble tea in a super-graphic modern decor, and above all, a beautiful surprise on the 300 m² restaurant floor... Noodles, ramen, bubble tea, and manga Hold onto your hats: it's a large manga store filled with 4,000 volumes and accessories that is being set up above the restaurant. The setting promises to offer "a true haven for fans of the genre or curious minds (...) in an extraordinary atmosphere inspired by the manga, cyberpunk, and urban universe," as explained by the managers of the establishment in an article on Actu Lyo.And the menu also contains its fair share of surprises: Potato Noodles (chewy potato-based noodles with an egg and melted cheese sauce), Creamy Tom Yum (a spicy Thai soup recipe with rich coconut milk flavors), Tchai Matcha Milk Tea (intense black tea, caramelized tapioca pearls, and matcha powder), or Cocolada Milk Tea (pineapple, coconut, passion fruit, mango) for a tasty journey to the tropics.
