At the origin of this concept, we find Maëva Chanoux, creator of the Instagram account Mamma Gang Lyon, and Violette Frey from the event agency Club Confettis. Their observation is simple: parenting shakes up life rhythms, and festive places don’t always adapt to the new realities of young moms. Hence the idea of offering an evening tailored to their needs, with a nightclub vibe... but in a speedy mode, as explained by Lyon Femmes.
On Friday, March 7, starting at 6 PM, the Groom opens its doors to about a hundred party enthusiasts for a 100% female evening. On the agenda: glitter workshops for a sparkling look, fun activities, and starting at 8 PM, the DJ will drop the beats like they’re at a
minuit. Result: at a decent hour, everyone was able to dance, have fun, and head home without turning into zombies the next day.A sold-out first evening in 15 days
This concept, already popular in Germany, has made a delightful entrance in Lyon. The 90 spots for this first edition sold out in just 15 days, despite being scheduled right in the middle of vacation time. Due to this enthusiasm, a second evening is planned for April 11, still in the festive venue of Groom.
