Lyon loves evenings that break the mold, but this one is definitely going to take things up a notch. To celebrate a weekend filled with non-stop fun, Merge Club is taking over a still-secret venue near Confluence. And not just any venue: an old cabaret transformed for the occasion into a pop-up club with a raw and immersive vibe.

For two nights, Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, the spot will be open from midnight until 10 AM. That's enough time to watch the sun rise after several hours of dancing to deep beats. The kind of experience that makes an impromptu after-party feel like a little digestive nap.

A total immersion with no photos or videos

Here, no Instagram stories, no awkward flashes, and definitely no shaky videos filmed at arm's length. Merge Club makes the bold — and honestly refreshing — choice to completely ban photos and videos.

otos and videos during the evenings. The idea? Get back to the essentials: music, collective energy, and the present moment. A philosophy that brings to mind the glorious times of Berlin clubs where people come primarily to experience the night, not to document it. The result: a more liberated, intense, and probably much more authentic atmosphere.

Legends of the Electronic Scene and Lyon’s Talents

On the programming side, Merge Club clearly means business. The event will bring together artists who have shaped electronic music for over thirty years alongside emerging figures from the current Lyon scene. Hypnotic techno, powerful house, and sets designed to keep the party going until the early morning: everything seems to have been thoughtfully crafted to transform this former cabaret into a true dance machine.
