Do not mess with the Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse! For the past few days, Lyon's stomach has been at the center of an improbable controversy after a prefectural order threatened it with administrative closure within two months. According to the Rhône prefecture, significant "dysfunctions" and a "danger to the safety of the public" have been pointed out, especially regarding fire risk prevention according to Tribune de Lyon.

The prefecture puts pressure, Lyon responds

Accusations to which Lyon Mayor Grégory Doucet responded. "The lack of willingness to exchange with the State with the City of Lyon must stop," declared the Lyon leader. The President of the Halles, Claude Polidori, echoed the same sentiment, denouncing a buzz effect in comments reported by Actu Lyon: "There is no fire in the Halles (...). It's a bit for the buzz... When we look at the letter, in the end, the Rhône prefecture just asks for a fire safety referent. The city hall will act promptly. There is nothing malicious. Individually, all the merchants are compliant. There is no point in scaring people."
