After a few days that felt almost spring-like, snow has made a striking comeback in the Lyonnais mountains. During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, flakes returned to the Lyonnais and Beaujolais hills, blanketing the scenery just a few kilometers from the city. It's a little refreshing reminder that late March can still hold a few surprises.

In Yzeron, Montrottier, and over by Monsols, the landscape changed in just a few hours, offering panoramas worthy of January... but featuring trees already ready for spring. The contrast is striking, almost cinematic.

Traffic conditions under watch

The snow remains light, but it still affects secondary roads in the higher areas. Nothing alarming, though: authorities in Rhône mention moderate disruptions, mainly on elevated routes. Drivers are encouraged to stay cautious, especially on t&.It’s either in the morning or at the end of the day when temperatures drop. The return of the snow is part of a larger cooling trend expected across the entire region. The famous influx of polar air announced in recent days is starting to make its presence felt, with temperatures dropping significantly and more unstable conditions. This weather pattern is expected to continue in the coming days, with the mercury plummeting and a distinctly wintery feel, even though the calendar (theoretically) says it’s spring.
