Painted since June 4th, the colorful rainbow-themed quadruple zebra crossing has already been tagged in the Guillotière neighborhood. Installed for Pride Month, this zebra crossing did not last long. As Actu Lyon reveals, the artwork was already covered in tags this Thursday even though its official inauguration is not scheduled until Saturday.

It must be said that the announcement of the creation of this initiative had stirred up passions. While some found the idea brilliant, others were outraged that the district of Guillotière was chosen to host it, already predicting damage. If it is in the heart of a crossroads in Guillotière that the pedestrian crossing marked with the LGBT rainbow flag was installed, it is because it is the result of a collaboration between the Town Hall of the 7th district and the bar Livestation DIY.
The LGBT+ pedestrian crossing repainted this Friday
In two places, tags and indecipherable writings have been added, making the artwork much less inclusive than it should be. If the city of Lyon has not reacted to these acts of vandalism, it has already announced that the pedestrian crossing will be repainted by the community this Friday, June 7. Unfortunately, it may be necessary to have buckets of paint on hand at all times to repeat these restorations.
A few days after the announcement of the creation of this pedestrian passage, it's the introduction of a rainbow-colored tramway that has sparked "hundreds of homophobic comments" according to the president of the Grand Lyon and Sytral, Bruno Bernard.
