It’s a page turning for lovers of writing and exceptional objects. After nearly seven decades of existence, the shop Aux Trois Archers, a temple of luxury pens and refined leather goods, has definitively pulled down its curtain on March 31. This closure marks another tough blow for Lyon's commerce, following the recent disappearances of the shoemaker Adrien and the shop Simone Sisters from decorator Cécile Siméone.

Since 1955, the shop on President Édouard-Herriot Street has delighted enthusiasts with prestigious brands like Montblanc, ST Dupont, Graf von Faber-Castell, and Namiki. But today, it's a total liquidation sale: discounts ranging from -20% to -70% on the entire stock until it's all gone. A rare chance to treat yourself to something exceptional while bidding farewell to this iconic address.

A Historic Closure in the Heart of Lyon

Despite the sadness surrounding this closure, Stéphanie Benaud, the store manager, prefers to talk about a new adventure rather than a definitive end. In an Instagram post, she mentions a "strategic decision" made in response to the evolution of commerce in Lyon. A necessary transformation to preserve the DNA and expertise of the brand. A new setting will be opened…

will open its doors this summer, promising to uphold the excellence and elegance that have made Aux Trois Archers renowned.

While downtown Lyon is gradually seeing some of its historic shops disappear, it seems that some of them haven't said their last word yet (and thankfully so). It'll be exciting to see if this revitalization charms the loyal customers of this legendary shop.
