Located just at the bottom of the slopes of Croix-Rousse, a stone's throw from the Croix-Paquet garden (1st arrondissement), Groom is a spacious multifaceted complex of 250 m². The lineup includes a really cool cocktail bar, a club space, and a concert hall. Open for over 5 years, this venue has already hosted countless events such as Nuits Sonores and living legends like the Chicago House icon, Chez Damier.
Behind this exciting project, we find the fantastic team from Slo Lyon les Pentes and Slo Lyon Saxe (youth hostels and coffee shop). Let's just say that when it comes to hospitality and decoration, we're really not too shabby at Groom...
A cocktail menu that changes every 6 months
For all you beverage lovers out there, take note that the cocktail menu is redesigned every 6 months by the team of experts, with collaborations being made with local artists for the design of the menus. Currently, we are showcasing a Japanese-inspired menu by artist Goodbye.soto with a delightful selection of non-alcoholic cocktails created with the Sober Spirits alcohol-free spirits brand. The next graphic collaboration will be with Ev Hill. To accompany the drinks, the house offers generous charcuterie and/or cheese platters for sharing.
When it comes to programming, Groom quickly found its place in the sun on the ultra-comfortable deck chair of the Lyon nightlife scene with its groovy/funky selection at the cutting edge of sound. You can expect DJ set nights, tarot sessions, book clubs, concerts during the week, clubbing parties on the weekend and even private events for individuals and businesses.
