If you were planning to get around Lyon peacefully by metro this Thursday, you might want to adjust your plans slightly. Due to the national social movement on November 5, 2026, the TCL network will operate at a reduced pace on most of its lines. Metros, funiculars, trams, tram-buses and buses: several services will be disrupted, and demonstrations could also cause unexpected interruptions throughout the day.
Which metro and tram lines will be affected in Lyon?
The metro will be the hardest hit. Line A will run every 9 minutes until 7am, then every 5 minutes until 8pm, before stopping completely. Lines B, C and D will not operate, nor will the two funiculars F1 and F2.
On the tram side, things will be a bit easier, though some adjustments are expected. Lines T2, T5, T6 and T7 will run normally. T1 will pass every 6 to 7 minutes, T3 every 8 to 9 minutes. Please note, however
ois at T4, which will only run between Hôpital Feyzin Vénissieux and La Doua Gaston-Berger. The trambus TB12 will meanwhile have a frequency of 15 minutes.TCL buses also running at reduced capacity
Several bus lines will see their frequencies reduced. This is notably the case for lines C2, C16, C17, C26, 41, 43, 89 and 90. Lines 89EX, 127, BR60 and PL1 to PL4 will not run at all. Some departures will also be cancelled on lines 86, 120, 215, 217, 236 and 237. Junior Direct school lines will operate almost entirely normally, with the exception of a few cancelled trips on lines JD347, JD349, JD353, JD377, JD379, JD405, JD414, JD419, JD421, JD427, JD494, JD583, JD637 and JD645.
Good news nonetheless: Rhônexpress, Navigône and park-and-ride facilities will operate normally. Other bus lines will also run as usual. Before you go, remember to check the TCL app or the traffic updates section on tcl.fr. Disruptions related to demonstrations maychange throughout the day. To reach the network, Allô TCL is available at 04 26 10 12 12.
