Disneyland Paris reveals a little more of its transformation. As the park celebrated its 33rd birthday on Friday, April 11, a few lucky guests had the chance to access the construction site of Disney Adventure World, a worthy successor - with double the size - to the legendary Walt Disney Studios. The visit included a stroll through the future themed areas of Frozen and The Lion King, the star films of the franchise, and we’re excited to share the first images with you!

Where magic happens
The progress of the construction site, hidden behind barricades for many months, had never truly been assessed. Visitors present got to discover Disney Studio 1, formerly dedicated to the behind-the-scenes of cinema, now transformed into a Hollywood Boulevard surrounded by palm trees and dotted with stars on the ground. Not many changes are expected in the future, as this space will be the first of the new attractions to open to the public, starting on May 15th.

Behind the studio doors, the vibrant world of the show will be celebrated throughout the World Premiere Plaza district, with lively theaters at every corner - the Studio Theater, Studio D, and the Animagique Theater, featuring a diverse lineup connected to the stories of Disney and Pixar. A little further along the promenade called Adventure Way, you’ll find two new attractions dedicated to Tangled and Up, with construction set to begin by the end of 2025. The Pixar masterpiece is expected to take the form of a carousel, although the elite journalists haven’t been able to dig up more details just yet!

Frozen Lake and Glacial Mountain
At the end of the avenue, and because we know that Disney loves "natural" spaces where one can unwind from their emotions, the press has unveiled the impressive Lake of Arendelle (spanning 3 hectares of water), which immerses visitors in the beloved area dedicated to Frozen. This World of Frozen will feature a 37-meter-high mountain, already well underway, as well as a spacious restaurant overlooking the lake, a meet-and-greet area with characters, and an exciting new nighttime show featuring water drones. As you can see, the project is incredibly ambitious and expected to be completed in 2026.

Finally, a second mountain will be built near Elsa’s, this time inspired by the world of The Lion King. This area will feature a water attraction, the first in the world dedicated to the famous animated film. For now, though, there aren’t any images to share yet: construction won’t start until the end of 2025.
