On this sunny Sunday, July 7th, after the second round of legislative elections, the voters of the New Popular Front were invited to celebrate their victory in the lively streets of major cities in France, including Lyon. The evening turned out even better than expected, but unfortunately, there were some incidents that took place. A group of troublemakers from the antifa movement attacked the famous McDonald's restaurant in the 2nd district near Cordeliers. They broke the restaurant's window with kicks and projectiles, as well as smashing the windows of nearby bus shelters, such as the one in front of the Grand Café des Négociants. Graffiti saying "Free Gaza" or "Serves you right" can be seen on many walls around the area, according to Actu Lyon.

Oh no! The national police are sad about what happened! They said some shops got damaged and projectiles were thrown at them. How sad! - Rhône prefecture
