Crit'Air 3 vehicles banned from the ZFE

After Crit'Air 4 vehicles are banned in early 2024, it's now time for Crit'Air 3 to be excluded from the Low Emission Zone (ZFE) in the Lyon metropolitan area. As of January 1, 2025, gasoline cars registered between 1997 and 2005 or diesel vehicles older than 2010 will no longer be allowed to drive in Lyon and its surroundings. The affected area includes Lyon, Caluire-et-Cuire, parts of Villeurbanne, Bron, and Vénissieux within the Laurent Bonnevay ring road, not to mention major routes like the M6-M7, the northern ring road, and the Laurent Bonnevay ring road. The restrictions are in effect at all times: 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and apply equally.in parking than in circulation.

This new service promises to connect the Industry district in Vaise to the Confluence area by sailing on the Saône with just a simple TCL ticket. SYTRAL Mobilités has confirmed that the river shuttle will run all year round, 7 days a week (except during flood periods) with a boat every 15 minutes and expects to welcome around 560,000 travelers each year.
