Former minister Marlène Schiappa makes an unexpected return to school. Six months after leaving the government, she has just announced on social media that she has been accepted to EM Lyon Business School. A choice that is surprising and amusing.

We expected almost anything, except for this! In a post published on LinkedIn, former minister Marlène Schiappa expressed her joy at joining the prestigious business school EM Lyon, whose new campus is located in Gerland (Lyon 7th). "Knowledge evolves, theory too, stakes vary," she explains. The former government member also mentioned that she took a course "in secret" on geopolitical and diplomatic issues while she was still at Matignon. She now talks about her desire to delve into issues of corporate governance and sustainability. "No, that's not enough for me," she says determinedly. Minister for over 6 years, Marlène Schiappa sees her return to school as an opportunity to strengthen her knowledge on crucial subjects like ESG issues (Environmental, Social, and Governance). And she chose EM Lyon, a renowned institution that celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2022, for this new chapter in her academic life.
