With just one year to go until the municipal elections of 2026, Lyon's ecologist mayor, Grégory Doucet, is facing a new unfavorable poll conducted by IFOP-Fiducial for Lyon Capitale. The result: 58% of Lyon's residents express dissatisfaction with his actions, a figure that's risen by eight points since 2023.

Among the most notable criticisms, it's automobile traffic that's at the center of tensions, with 74% of respondents deeming the situation negative and 69% complaining about parking. With pedestrianization, bike lanes, and a reduction in parking spaces, some residents are not shy about expressing their frustration.

Another concern for the mayor: 64% of Lyon residents feel he doesn't listen to their concerns.
