So, expect to see some streetlights, but also all the Lyon monuments completely turned off for this operation aimed at reducing energy consumption and light pollution.

Nearly 370 Lyonnais sites and monuments plunged into darkness
In every corner of Lyon, the most iconic streets, squares, and monuments will be completely in the dark. From 8:30 PM to 10 PM, the City Hall, the Palais de la Bourse, the Théâtre des Célestins, the bridges, and dozens of other city monuments will be immersed in twilight. In total, nearly 370 sites will be part of this operation.
An initiative in place for over 15 years
This annual initiative has been organized by WWF since 2007. It aims to raise awareness among residents about climate change, particularly light pollution that significantly impacts ecosystems.
