Just a year after its opening, the LDLC Arena, located in Décines-Charpieu near Lyon, has already established itself as an international reference. The venue keeps filling its stands for renowned events like Justin Timberlake concerts and WWE Backlash France, and it has just received a significant nomination: that of the best new concert hall in the world.

This prestigious recognition comes from Pollstar, the leading American media outlet in the concert industry. The LDLC Arena is competing in the "International New Concert Venue of the Year" category alongside four other impressive venues: Co-op Live (Manchester), Estadio GNP Seguros (Mexico), K-Arena (Yokohama), and UOB LIVE (Bangkok). Let’s just say that the competition is going to be fierce!

A Rapid Rise for the LDLC Arena

Jean-Michel Aulas, through his company Holnest, now manages the LDLC Arena, which has made a remarkable impression in record time. The appointment highlights "the success of this first year of operation" and the arena's now essential place in Lyon's cultural landscape. The reputation of the LDLC Arena doesn't stop at local borders: it now attracts event organizers on a national and international scale.

With an impressive capacity and a lineup that has already showcased world-renowned artists and performances (and will also feature Indochine, Dua Lipa, Lenny Kravitz, and Hans Zimmer between 2025 and 2026), the LDLC Arena has created a palpable excitement. We will just have to wait and see if this success will be recognized at the Pollstar Awards ceremony, set for February 19, 2025. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Lyon to shine once again on the international stage!
