A liquidation with no return
The announcement came on June 11, 2025: Casa France is placed in judicial liquidation, due to a lack of buyers. The commercial court of Bobigny is set to confirm this decision on June 27. As a result of this process, nearly 700 employees will lose their jobs, and the 143 French boutiques of the brand will permanently close their doors.
Founded in 1975, Casa has long been a familiar name in European furniture retail, offering decoration and garden products at accessible prices. However, the bankruptcy of the Belgian parent company last March, weakened by the slowdown in the real estate market and the rise of e-commerce, dealt a fatal blow to the organization.
