This is a new chapter for Lyon's hospitality scene. The Arteloge Hotels & Restaurants group has just announced the sale of its iconic Villa Florentine, a 5-star Relais & Châteaux establishment, to the French Beauvallon Collection, specialists in exceptional hospitality.

After more than 30 years of history, Villa Florentine is leaving the Arteloge group. Nestled on the hill of Fourvière, this Relais & Châteaux address has embodied refinement and excellence in Lyon since 1993. Its CEO, Éric Giorgi, proudly says, "proud to have shaped this emblematic hotel" before passing the torch to Amaury Rostagnat, president of the Beauvallon Collection group, known for its high-end, intimate establishments. A smooth transition between two family-run homes, both driven by the same passion for hospitality and authenticity.

A Strategic Turning Point for the Arteloge Group

This divestment is part of a comprehensive repositioning strategy that began in early 2025. The Arteloge Group has recently signed a major partnership with Hilton, allowing several of its establishments to join the international ecosystem of the hotel giant. Goal: to increase visibility while maintaining independence and local management. A strategic choice in a changing sector, marked by new expectations from travelers and the emergence of significant competitors in the Lyon market.

Ambitious projects for the years to come

Arteloge isn't slowing down, quite the opposite! The group is already preparing for the opening of a 4★ Resort Spa in Genas in 2026 and the complete renovation of the 4-star Hotel Lyon Métropole planned for 2027. These projects solidify its presence on the regional hotel scene and confirm its desire to continuously reinvent itself.

Villa Florentine, a witness to a piece of Lyon's history

Born from an old 17th-century convent, Villa Florentine is a true architectural gem. Transformed into a luxury hotel by the Giorgi family in 1993, it joined the prestigious Relais & Châteaux chain two years later. Its restaurant, Les Terrasses de Lyon, earned its first Michelin star in 1995 — a distinction it has held for three decades. With panoramic suites, a spectacular glassed-in area inaugurated in 2020, and exceptional apartments added in 2022, this address remains a benchmark of Lyonnaise elegance.
