Among the hundreds of rankings we've seen pass before our eyes, this one is undoubtedly the most surprising of all... According to a study conducted by Oxford Economics, the town of Grenoble in Isère will simply be the most pleasant place to live in the world. And even though we love our neighbors in Grenoble, we can't help but question this result... 

The study highlights the exceptional living environment, the rich and varied cultural offerings, and the unmatched proximity to the mountains. Perfect for ski lovers, hiking enthusiasts, or nature fans, Grenoble seems to have everything to please according to the ranking. Add a strong economic fabric and a more than respectable life expectancy, and you have a winning formula. Yet, the capital of the Alps ranks 187th (which is second to last among cities with over 100,000 inhabitants) in the latest ranking of cities and villages in France where life is good according to JDD... 

Grenoble is not the only French city shining in this ranking. Nantes proudly takes an honorable tenth place, proving that the quality of life in France still has a bright future ahead.
