Located on Rue du Bœuf right in the heart of Vieux Lyon, it quickly became a favorite among locals from day one. But then, Covid crashed their party, and since then, Food Traboule has really struggled to bounce back...

40% drop in revenue
So we have some sad news to share: Food Traboule has been placed in judicial reorganization. The goal? To find a buyer who could save this lovely little business. In a statement, the chefs explain: “A call for tenders will be launched to keep the place alive. We spent three years creating this innovative and committed concept that we believed in deeply. Everything was perfectly calibrated. The viability of Food Traboule relied on the fact that we were 12 supporting it alongside our main restaurants. Over time, we transitioned from a collective to a duo… It’s no longer the same project, nor the same business plan, and it’s not possible to continue holding it up in line with our love for the industry, gastronomy.”.
A new restaurant will open in the fall
And if you're worried about Tabata and Ludovic Mey, know that these two have more than a few tricks up their sleeves! After closing their starred restaurant Les Apothicaires last year (definitely...), they plan to open a new restaurant in the 6th arrondissement this fall. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this time, everything goes smoothly!
