Matthew Fitzpatrick from the University of Maryland analyzed climate
Have you found your city on the map? Ready to travel to 2080?
❗️ Warning! The map is highly addictive. 😎https://t.co/wLRBpyYtvy#climate #ecology #science

The principle is simple, not only does it detail the results obtained, detailing for example the degree of increase in temperature, but also the drought, the researcher also compares the projected temperature of each city with the current temperature of a city in the world. Thus, in 2080, Lille will experience the same temperatures as Bordeaux today, and Dublin those of Sopuerta, in Spain.
And what about Lyon?
In the capital of the Gauls, the observation is the same as everywhere else, it's going to be hot. So, in about sixty years, if CO2 emissions do not decrease, summer temperatures will have increased by 6.6°. So if we compare to today, it doesn't seem so dramatic. However, it seems that the study is more based on heatwaves than on other weather patterns we have experienced these last few years. Drought will also increase by 20.3%. And the same goes for winter, with a little +4.3 degrees, and an increased drought of 7.9%. We can feel the brisk, cutting wind on our faces from here. In short, by 2080.Get ready, folks! Lyon and the surrounding area are in for temperatures similar to those in the Marches region of Italy, where you'll find cities like Pesaro and Ancona. Check out this interactive map, and there's only one conclusion: things are getting serious. 😅🌞 via GIPHY
