Up to Three Keys Awarded
Hotels can be awarded one, two, or three Keys, indicating a unique, exceptional, or extraordinary stay. To determine their rating, Michelin experts rely on five specific criteria: architecture and interior design, service quality, personality and character, value for money, and contribution to the local experience. In France, many palaces, castles, vineyards, or boutique hotels have managed to receive one or more Keys.
Two Lyon establishments recognized
For this first edition, 24 French hotels have been awarded three Keys, 38 have received two, and 127 hotel establishments have earned one. If Lyon is missing...The call for the first two categories, two prestigious addresses have received their first Key.
So, Villa Florentine (Lyon 5th) and Villa Maïa (Lyon 5th) are now awarded a Michelin Star. A well-deserved recognition for these prestigious establishments offering unique stays. It is noteworthy that the InterContinental at Grand Hôtel-Dieu, which also lives.
But despite being voted best hotel in France for the 4th consecutive year, it is not part of the awards list...
