A new page of history is turning in Lyon. Established for nearly a century at 42 rue du Président Édouard-Herriot, the Adrien store has shaped the history of the neighborhood, becoming a must-visit spot for generations of Lyonnais in search of quality shoes. While the shop settled at this address in 1931, its heritage dates back even further, to 1824, with Louis Parot, the first known master shoemaker of the family, as recalled by Tribune de Lyon.

Anecdotes, such as the one claiming that Jews were hidden in these cellars during the Second World War, give the shop a special aura, blending past and present.

The Presqu'île of Lyon loses another historic business

Since the announcement of its imminent closure, the Adrien store has been bustling. Customers, moved by the disappearance of this iconic place, hurry to say their goodbyes and take with them one last memory of this address filled with memories. Some, overwhelmed by palpable emotion, even buy several pairs of shoes, fearing they won't find the same expertise and quality elsewhere.my authenticity.
