Arcadia: a new monumental and enduring work until 2027
It's hard to miss Arcadia during your visit to Subs, one of the most trendy cultural spots in Lyon on the banks of the Saône. Created by Syrian artist Khaled Alwarea, a member of the UV LAB collective (who also brought us the famous Kraken), the metallic artwork covered in wood resembles a multi-tiered structure connecting the ticket office of Subs to the center of the esplanade (complete with a rooftop space!). To climb onto the installation and see the space from a fresh perspective, three staircases have been added along the way. It's a work full of meaning that references the myth of Arcadia, an ideal city where every human being could find refuge in perfect harmony between nature and spirit. And the good news is that it will be on display at SUBS until 2027!
A XXL terrace for equally grand evenings
Kick off the summer festivities at the Subs on Friday, May 2nd with the grand reopening of the XXL terrace! With its 1,000 m² right by the Saône, it's a unique spot in Lyon, this outdoor space is the perfect place to relax, meet friends, or simply enjoy the breathtaking view. Each week, guest chefs will serve up local and seasonal dishes, while the relaxation areas equipped with deck chairs, ping-pong tables, and foosball are sure to delight everyone, from the littlest ones to the biggest kids!

Monumental artwork, XXL terrace...and an amazing program !
Especially since all the festivities outdoors are free, allowing you to fully enjoy shows, concerts, and workshops without worrying about your budget. Between the opening weekend bursting with immersive artistic proposals, the weekly 100% free concerts on the terrace club, the performances, and other delights, your summer at the Subs will be as cultural as it is lively. Don't miss the highlights like the Music Festival with Supergombo or the 14 of July with the Balatata - a mix of dance parties, cabaret, and performances - taking place on this gorgeous terrace loved by the whole city.

The grand finale of this artistic season will take place on September 27 and 28 with the IF Festival returning for its 3rd edition, featuring dozens of French and international illustrators who will be drawing live. There will also be exhibitions, a market of illustrated objects, talks, illustrated concerts, screenings of animated short films, and many more joyful surprises. But you'll have 5 months to enjoy the venues and festivities!
