An Unforgettable Night in the Heart of the Auvergne Animal Park
Forget about ordinary hotels: here, the scenery is all about nature and wild animals. About 2.5 hours from Lyon, the Auvergne Animal Park is bringing back its experience “Head in the Stars,” a unique stay offered from June 13 to August 31, 2026.
The concept is simple yet completely immersive: spend a night under the stars in a room set up right in front of your favorite animal's enclosure. Giraffes, lions, tigers, cheetahs, bears, snow leopards, or even Amur leopards… everyone can choose their nighttime neighbor for a truly timeless experience.

A special immersion from sunset to sunrise
The experience is more than just a unique night. As soon as you arrive in the early evening, you are welcomed for a private tour of the park, filled with special moments during the animal feeding right by your accommodation. The evening continues with a dinner at the park restaurant, Le Lion Doré, before heading to your room for a night under the stars, gently rocked by the sounds of wildlife.

In the early morning, a delightful breakfast is served as you bask in the first rays of sunlight before enjoying a freely throughout the day. This experience is designed for two people, but you can also bring your kids for an extra fee.

An adventure that protects endangered species
The best part of this getaway is that it directly benefits the animals, far beyond the park. Unlike a traditional unique accommodation, « Head in the Stars » operates as a donation for the benefit of Play for Nature, with a tax reduction of 66%. All profits are donated to biodiversity conservation programs around the world.

Spending a night facing the giraffes helps protect wild giraffes in Africa, while a stay with the lions contributes to funding conservation efforts in Kenya. It's a way to experience an unforgettable adventure while truly giving a boost to the planet's most threatened species.
