The Tête d'Or Park becomes the epicenter of botanical passion with a market entirely dedicated to rare plants. In collaboration with the Conservatory of Specialized Plant Collections (CCVS) and the Lyon Nature mediation service, the park's Orangerie will transform into a true temple of greenery on September 16 and 17. About fifteen producers and collectors will present amazing and sometimes lesser-known species.
Vegetable treasures from around the world
Visitors will discover an incredible diversity of rare plants, from European ferns to kalanchoe, including begonias, bromeliads, and the famous Lyonese varieties. It’s the perfect opportunity to find varieties that are unavailable elsewhere, enrich your collection, or simply marvel at the endless creativity of the living world.
An inspiring conference to save biodiversity
The highlight of the event will be on September 18th with a conference by Carlos Magdalena, known as the "plant messiah". A specialist in rescuing threatened plant species, he will share his experiences and passion at the Palais de la Mutualité in a talk held in English and translated into French. It's a significant and free moment, accessible to everyone, to reflect together on the future of our planet.
