He was the real star of the show (alongside Céline Dion's performance), keeping us all on the edge of our seats until the very last moments... "Zeus", the majestic metallic horse that galloped on the Seine carrying the rider with the Olympic flag during the opening ceremony of the Olympics on July 27th, is going to be visible to the public! Whether you attended the ceremony or watched it on TV, you'll be able to (re)discover this unique horse, which will be showcased, in partnership with Sanofi, in the courtyard of the Lyon City Hall from Monday, March 17 to Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

A stunning 1.80m tall aluminum sculpture
It was an unforgettable scene for anyone who watched the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games from start to finish. Inspired by the work of photographer Eadweard Muybridge and brought to life by the architecture and design studio Atelier Blam, this striking metal horse sculpture is a result of the hard work by various skilled trades such as metalworking, engineering, design, mechanics, and more. Built from aluminum shells, this horse stands 1.80m tall and continues to embody the values and olympic spirit, inviting you to come and admire it in the heart of Lyon!

Keeping the Olympic Symbols in the Capital
The goal of this initiative is primarily to perpetuate the spirit of the Paris Olympics, as explained by Lyon's mayor Grégory Doucet in a statement: « Welcoming this horse is a way to extend the excitement of the Paris 2024 Games a bit longer. Zeus is a symbol of peace and a connection between all the host cities. This idea of sharing and hospitality resonates particularly in Lyon. I am thrilled that the people of Lyon can admire this showcase of French innovation and craftsmanship in the courtyard of the City Hall of Lyon. ».
