Stories, brass bands, and a friendly atmosphere will set the rhythm for the weekend in Pérouges. In this beautifully lit stone setting, the brass band will warm hearts, and storytellers will make children’s eyes sparkle. Magic happens around every corner: here, friendliness replaces the hustle and bustle of big cities, and authenticity takes precedence over excess. The 2025 edition promises to be dynamic thanks to the local youth taking the lead. This year, the association Pérouges Patrimoine Animations is supported by MEL’AGE, a team of young volunteers already present in 2024. Together, they bring a breath of fresh air to this festival.

A tip: come early to enjoy it fully
But be careful: Pérouges is a small village, so it’s best to plan your visit ahead. With limited capacity, the organizers suggest arriving right at opening time or between noon and 2 PM to avoid the crowds. The town hall reminds everyone that the medieval city is paved with cobblestones, making it nearly impossible to navigate with wheelchairs and strollers. And if the large crowds make you anxious, don’t worry: there are plenty of charming little Christmas markets in the surrounding area that are worth a visit too.
