The Editor

Forget your typical Christmas markets: here, gifts are bought between dragons, a giant spider, and a few wizards. For its fourth edition, The Strange Christmas of Wizards takes over the casemates of Fort de Bron once again and transforms the monument into a peculiar fantastical village.

Along the way, a truly magical alley awaits visitors with its shops, performers, riddles, and workshops. You can make enchanted candles, create bath salts, learn calligraphy with a quill, or test your dragon knowledge. This year's big highlight: a greenhouse inspired by Morticia Addams' world, filled with carnivorous plants.

An atmosphere between Halloween and Christmas

The Witches' Strange Christmas deliberately plays with the boundaries between Halloween chills and Christmas magic. The décor, slightly Burtonesque, features some XXL installations, starting with an impressive spider over six meters in wingspan. Pop culture fans will also find the famous flying Ford Anglia, while the traditional Pumpkin Vogue makes a comeback in a completely reimagined version. Skill games, fantastic challenges, dragons and wild predictions will be on the agenda.

And once again this year, Kelyan Blanc, the French voice of Harry Potter in the saga's films, will be present to meet the public. Enough to bring back some memories for an entire generation of budding wizards.

65 creators to prepare for Christmas

The market will also bring together 65 creators, artisans and producers, with plenty of treasures to seriously start your Christmas gift shopping. Jewels, wands, costumes, fantastical objects, magical creations as well as gourmet specialties and artisanal beverages will be on offer in the various stalls.

The experience lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes and takes place over three sessions each day, with a maximum of 1,200 visitors per time slot. Booking is therefore essential, as no tickets will be sold on site. Join us on October 31st, November 1st, 14th and 15th, 2026 at Fort de Bron for an outing between Lyon and Halloween that's sure to delight both young and old.
