Summer is shaping up to be scorching at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu in Lyon! From June to September, get ready for a season full of events with "Summer at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu". Whether you are a dance lover, passionate about craftsmanship, a foodie, or just looking for a fun activity for the kids, this iconic place has some wonderful surprises in store for you.

Like every year, the Grand Hôtel-Dieu is going to bring some serious fun all summer long! A crazy program in a historical and iconic location that promises to delight the people of Lyon under the summer sun. This Wednesday, June 12, we start off strong with a big Cuban night at the Grand Réfectoire in the courtyard of Saint-Henri starting at 6pm. The program includes a Cuban DJ set, food, outdoor bar, and initiation to Latin dance. On Thursday, June 13, get ready to dance to the sound of percussion and lively rhythms during the afro-house night "UPENDO" at Le Justin bar. Every Thursday of the summer, wine enthusiasts can participate in oenology workshops at the InterContinental to discover the pleasures of wine in an elegant and friendly setting (on reservation).Summer at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu Lyon

Every Saturday from June 15th to September 21st, the Creators Market of Lyon Creations will take over the Cour du Midi with a myriad of local artisans. Jewelry, candles, and other handmade treasures will be on display, as well as workshops to discover artisanal techniques like kirigami, ceramics, and many more. Children will also have creative workshops with GoFunKids, perfect for letting their imagination run wild while you enjoy the market.

Events all summer long

Weekends will be filled with live concerts at Justin. Disco night on Thursday, June 27th with dancers and DJ set, DJ Gribb Sax on Friday, July 5th, Afro-house night "UPENDO" on July 11th, Priscilla's concert on Saturday, July 20th, Cultissime 80's-2000's night on Thursday, July 25th, and many other artists offering unforgettable performances.

Football lovers will obviously not miss the broadcasts of the Euro 2024 matches at Justin, especially the France/Austria match on June 17th, and the France/Netherlands match on June 21st. The latter will coincide with the Fête de la Musique, during which no less than 3 courtyards of the building will be in celebration: Cour St Henri and Grand Cloître (led by Grand Réfectoire) and Cour St Elisabeth (under the supervision of the restaurant Kabestan).
