From June 5th to 9th, La Cité des Halles is going all out to tantalize your taste buds and take you on a journey with the Brooklyn Experience. For 5 days, this cultural hotspot in the 7th district is dressing up in its finest attire to become a lively and vibrant replica of the legendary New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. Throughout this event, the largest terrace in Lyon will provide an immersive walk through the iconic spots that have influenced the history of New York. Let's spread some happiness today! 🌟💃🎉 Life is so much better when you're smiling. So go ahead and share your joy with the world. You never know who might need it the most.

Immersive stroll through Brooklyn's iconic places

Head to Williamsburg for a gastronomic journey with IPA beer tastings and a playful exhibition entitled "About Brooklyn" that will allow you to feel the very essence of the city. At Coney Island, immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of an amusement park with mini-games and a photo booth to capture the moment. Over at Stonewall Inn, pay tribute to LGBTQ+ history with a committed bar and a captivating exhibition tracing its iconic story.

Ready for a fun day in Brooklyn? Head to Bushwick where you'll have the chance to get tattooed by several talented artists and take part in a glitter workshop to shine bright like a diamond.
And lastly, the atmosphere of the Flea Market offers a space to express your creativity by personalizing eco-cups, hunting for unique pieces at the Cigüe thrift store, and strutting through inspiring artistic booths.

Masterclass, BBQ party and hot-dog contest

But the Brooklyn Experience is not just about seeing and experiencing cool things. It also has a variety of fun events for everyone to enjoy.
Here's what you can expect: a graffiti competition, an old-school hip-hop DJ set with Oddatee, a massive BBQ party featuring beer-marinated Black Ops beef and a legendary Imperial Stout, along with delicious 100% American side dishes. And don't miss out on the ultimate event for food and barbecue lovers - the BBQ masterclass led by Joannès Richard, the world champion of burgers (registration required). There will be many other activities to choose from too: a molecular workshop, a mixology masterclass, Bingo, Drag Show, graffiti battle, breakdance show... and much more

And because we all have a playful spirit, there will be a hot-dog eating contest (sign up) and a 2 vs 2 basketball tournament (sign up).
