No need to head to the countryside to breathe in some fresh air; just open the door of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon and wander into its garden nestled among the columns of Place des Terreaux. This little haven of peace, often forgotten in favor of the exhibition halls, will become this summer the vibrant heart of an artistic program as refreshing as a lemon Perrier on a terrace. From early June to late August, the museum is all about greenery and art to create a buzz for both kids and adults with a fantastic lineup.

Workshops, installations, concerts, and readings

Everything kicks off on June 7 and 8 with an installation created by the students of the Robert-Doisneau school, hand in hand with artist Yves Dimier. But that’s not all; he will also offer drawing workshops right on the grass, using charcoal and sketching, perfect for curious beginners as well as seasoned artists. On June 7, seeds will take the spotlight with a sensory botanical tour led by a passionate gardener.

né, which will take you on a journey through plants from all over the world... and you'll leave with a little souvenir pot. Guaranteed green therapy.

In July, the kids will take charge with painting workshops and nature visits spread across several dates, while the older ones will be enchanted on July 10th by the voices of the Syllepse choir during a free sunset concert. Another round on August 7th with the electro-organic universe of Odalie, for a moment suspended between shadow and light.

Art is breaking free, gardens are buzzing with life, and Lyon is offering an enchanted interlude. Remember to book: beauty is something to be earned!
