It's a project that has been slowly coming together for twelve years, but now it's finally speeding ahead: the new bicycle station at Part-Dieu has officially opened, and it's not just for show! We're talking about the largest one in the whole country, just imagine that! Located at Place Béraudier, right at the foot of Lyon's busiest train station, this impressive facility boasts over 1,500 bike parking spots, accommodating everything from classic bikes to electric speedsters and even family cargo bikes.

A bike station open every day from 4:30 AM to 1 AM

Supported by the Metropolis of Lyon, the City, and the State, this bike station is a real haven for cyclists. Open every day from 4:30 AM to 1 AM using an Oura or TCL card (after registering on lpa.fr), it offers secure parking with video surveillance for up to 14 days. And for those in a hurry, card payment will soon be available by the end of 2025.

The cherry on top of the handlebars: the station has thought of everything. Two levels, air pump stations, freely accessible tools for on-the-spot repairs, and even little maintenance spots for those who love to grease their chain before heading out again. The cost of this pedal revolution? Twelve million euros, with two million funded by the state. This investment is part of a sustainable and ambitious movement for a city that is definitely heading in the right direction.
