Inside, the future building promises to be a hub of practicality and modernity: two consultation rooms, including one accessible for people with reduced mobility, a pre-operative room, and two recovery rooms for quality care.
A strengthened mission of solidarity
Jacques-Charles Fombonne, the volunteer president of the SPA, is thrilled about this project, as he shared with Lyon Capitale: โWe are taking a crucial step towards providing quality veterinary care and strengthening our mission of solidarity.โ This dispensary wouldnโt have come to life without a boost from the Auvergne-Rhรดne-Alpes Region, which financed the project with 200,000 euros out of a total of 890,000 euros.

In 2023, the current shelter took care of over 8,700 animals. With an expanded space and a team that will grow even more in 2026, this number could soar!
